Verity for creator businesses

Your audience is the product. Verity keeps the deals, deadlines and dues behind it in order.

A creator business earns from brand deals, platform payouts and its own products, and runs on a calendar of shoots, edits and promises. Enquiries arrive in direct messages, deliverables live in chats and invoices wait in an inbox. Verity gives every deal one record from first message to payment.

Verity in one line

One system that shows every brand deal, what is promised and by when, what has been paid and what the content calendar can really carry.

Free: we set up a working demo of your own business, on your own data, within 7 days. You pay only if your team decides to use it.

Built for a solo creator or a small team with editors and a manager. Records come from the work you already do on each deal.

How it runs today

Most creators make content well and run the business from their phone.

A deal starts as a direct message or an email, becomes a voice note on terms and ends, sometimes months later, as an unpaid invoice. Each step is on a different app.

Income is uneven. A 2025 industry report found that 88 percent of creators earn less than 75 percent of their income from social media, and that platform ad revenue is only 15 percent of earnings, so the business depends on brand deals and other work.

The people who work with the creator, such as editors, designers and managers, are managed by chat. Deadlines, revisions and payments sit in the same threads as everything else.

What most creator businesses run on

  • Direct messages and email from brands
  • WhatsApp groups with editors and managers
  • Spreadsheet of deals and invoices
  • Notes app for the content calendar
  • Platform dashboards for each channel

Each shows one slice. None tells you which brand owes you money, which deliverable is due tomorrow or whether two deals clash.

14 problems, one by one

Where a creator business loses money, time and goodwill.

These are the situations creators and their managers describe. For each one: what it looks like, what it costs, and what Verity does about it.

  1. 01Deals

Brand enquiries are scattered and forgotten

    What it looks like

Three brands wrote this week, one in direct messages, one by email and one through an agency on WhatsApp. One reply is two weeks late.

    What it costs you

Example arithmetic: if a creator misses one ₹60,000 deal a month because a reply came late, that is ₹7.2 lakh a year of work that was already offered.

    How Verity fixes it

Every enquiry becomes a deal record with the brand, the contact, the ask, the quoted rate and the next step. Verity lists enquiries with no reply and the value of what is waiting.

    See the screen
  2. 02Deals

Rates are quoted from the mood of the day

    What it looks like

A brand asks for one reel and two stories. The price is decided on the call. A similar brand paid more last month.

    What it costs you

Deals underpriced against effort, and rates that cannot be defended when a brand pushes back.

    How Verity fixes it

A rate card holds prices by format, usage rights and exclusivity. Each quote shows the rate used, any discount and the reason, and the effort in hours for editing and shooting.

    See the screen
  3. 03Contracts

Contract terms are not written down in one place

    What it looks like

Usage rights for three months, no competing brand for 30 days and approval of the script. These terms are in an email, a voice note and a chat.

    What it costs you

A brand uses your content for longer than agreed, or you promote a competitor and break exclusivity. The Nod reported in 2026 that creators describe a lack of standard contracts.

    How Verity fixes it

Each deal records deliverables, usage rights and duration, exclusivity, approval steps and payment terms, with the signed document attached. Verity flags usage windows ending and conflicting exclusivity.

    See the screen
  4. 04Deliverables

Deliverables and revisions run through chats

    What it looks like

A brand asks for a third round of changes on a reel. The editor works from an old version and the brand approves one that was never posted.

    What it costs you

Rework, missed posting dates and a brand that says you did not follow the brief.

    How Verity fixes it

Each deliverable has a brief, draft versions, approval rounds and a posting date. Verity shows what is waiting on whom and counts the revision rounds against what was agreed.

    See the screen
  5. 05Content

The content calendar clashes with brand windows

    What it looks like

Two brands want their posts on the same day. A festival shoot overlaps with a paid launch. The notes app does not show it.

    What it costs you

A post moved at the last minute, a brand unhappy at the slot and a team working through the night.

    How Verity fixes it

One calendar holds paid posts, own content, shoots and edits for all channels. Verity shows clashes and how many edit hours each week needs against the team's capacity.

    See the screen
  6. 06Money

Brands pay late and chasing is awkward

    What it looks like

A brand pays 60 or 90 days after posting. The invoice sits with an agency that says it is with the brand.

    What it costs you

A creator who is owed ₹3.5 lakh out of ₹8 lakh earned, as one creator described in 2026, or has to take other work to pay bills.

    How Verity fixes it

Each invoice has a due date, an owner and a chase history. Overdue ones appear in a list by amount and age, with a task for whoever follows up, and the outcome is recorded.

    See the screen
  7. 07Money

    Barter deals are untracked

    What it looks like

Brands send products in exchange for posts. Some are worth ₹500, some ₹50,000. Nobody records which brands asked for what or what the product was worth.

    What it costs you

Hours of work for little return, and no basis to refuse a brand that always offers barter.

    How Verity fixes it

Barter is recorded with the value of the products and the hours spent. Verity shows cash against barter by brand and the effective rate per hour.

    See the screen
  8. 08Compliance

    Disclosure labels are missed

    What it looks like

A paid reel is posted with the disclosure in a hashtag at the end of a long caption, or not at all.

    What it costs you

A complaint to the advertising regulator, a brand that is embarrassed and a creator's name in a report. ASCI's review of 100 brand posts by top creators found non-disclosure in 69 percent.

    How Verity fixes it

Each paid post has a disclosure checklist with the label to use and a record of what was posted. Verity flags posts due without a disclosure check.

    See the screen
  9. 09Team

The team is managed in group chats

    What it looks like

An editor, a thumbnail designer and a manager each have tasks. Files are in three drives, and a freelancer is paid when someone remembers.

    What it costs you

Missed edits, duplicate work and freelancers who stop taking your work.

    How Verity fixes it

Each person has tasks tied to deals and content, with files attached and due dates. Freelancer payments show approved work and what is due.

    See the screen
  10. 10Money

Income swings and nobody plans for the lean months

    What it looks like

A good month brings ₹3 lakh and the next brings ₹40,000. Money is spent as it comes.

    What it costs you

Cash stress and saying yes to bad deals out of need. Income depends heavily on brand deals and other work because platform payouts are only a small part of earnings.

    How Verity fixes it

Expected receipts, fixed costs and the pipeline are shown together by month. Verity shows how many months of costs the confirmed deals cover.

    See the screen
  11. 11Money

Tax records are rebuilt at year end

    What it looks like

Invoices, expenses for equipment and deductions by brands are in different places. The accountant asks for a summary in March.

    What it costs you

Hours of sorting, missed expenses and mistakes in what has been deducted at source.

    How Verity fixes it

Each deal records the invoice, amount, tax deducted and certificate status, and expenses are logged with receipts. Your accountant starts from clean records.

    See the screen
  12. 12Rights

Usage rights expire and old content is reused wrongly

    What it looks like

A brand paid for three months of paid usage of a reel. It is still running six months later. Or an old sponsored post is shared again without a note.

    What it costs you

Unpaid extra usage, or a breach of the agreed period. Both need a record to resolve.

    How Verity fixes it

Each piece of content carries its licence, who can use it and until when. Verity lists usage windows ending and content in use past its window.

    See the screen
  13. 13Deliverables

Campaign reports are built by hand for each brand

    What it looks like

After a campaign the brand asks for views, reach and clicks. Numbers are copied from the platform into a document late at night.

    What it costs you

Hours of unpaid reporting and a brand that renews only if the numbers look good.

    How Verity fixes it

Each campaign records the figures you enter after posting, next to what was promised. A report is assembled from the deal record.

    See the screen
  14. 14Owner

    The creator is the system

    What it looks like

One person remembers which brand is slow to pay, which deal is exclusive and what is promised next week. Time off means missed deadlines.

    What it costs you

A business that stalls whenever the creator is unwell or on a break. More than three million people create content in India, and few have a team that can run the business without them.

    How Verity fixes it

Each morning Verity shows what needs a decision, each item with an owner. A manager can run the pipeline and payments from the same records.

    See the screen

The numbers behind it

The numbers that make these problems worth fixing.

From published sources, with the source named under each figure. Your own numbers will differ, and showing you yours is the first thing Verity does.

  • 3.5 to 4.5 million

creators in India, in a market growing at about 22 percent a year, according to Kofluence's 2025 report.

    Kofluence, 2025

  • 15%

the share of creators' earnings that comes from platform ad revenue, and 88 percent of creators earn less than 75 percent of their income from social media.

    Kofluence, 2025

  • 69%

of 100 brand-promotion posts by top Indian digital creators reviewed by ASCI broke disclosure guidelines, with 56.8 percent of those having no label and 43.2 percent burying it in hashtags.

    Campaign India, 2025

  • About ₹3.5 lakh

unpaid out of roughly ₹8 lakh earned since 2023, as one creator reported in a 2026 feature on creators and late brand payments.

    The Nod, 2026

The creator figures are from Kofluence, an influencer marketing company, and the disclosure finding is from a review of 100 posts by top creators, so neither describes every creator. The payment example is one creator's account in a feature article.

How we work with you

We set it up with you, in four weeks.

You do not get a login and a manual. We learn how your deals and content actually run, build Verity around that, bring your data in, then stay on to keep it working.

  1. Week 1

    Discovery and mapping

    What we do
Spend a day with you and your manager or editor. Follow a recent deal from the first message to payment, and map your channels, tools and the people who help.
    What we need from you
A few hours from you and your manager. Your last five deals with messages, contracts and invoices.
What you have at the end
A written map of how deals, content, money and rights run today and the problems to fix first.
  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Configuration

    What we do
Set up brands, deal stages and a rate card, deliverable and approval steps, a content calendar for each channel, disclosure checklists, rights records, payment follow-up and approvals.
    What we need from you
Check the rate card and checklists with your manager.
What you have at the end
A working Verity with your real deals, channels and rules.
  3. Weeks 3 to 4

    Migration and training

    What we do
Bring in open deals, brands and contacts, invoices and dues, content with licences, and your team's tasks. Train you, your manager and your editors on live deals.
    What we need from you
Your list of open deals and invoices, in whatever form they exist. One hour per role.
What you have at the end
Your business inside Verity and a team that has used it on real deals.
  4. After go-live

    Operations partnership

    What we do
Stay on after launch. Review the first weeks with you, tune lists and reminders and handle new channels and team members.
    What we need from you
A short monthly review of what the numbers say.
What you have at the end
A system that keeps matching how the business runs, with someone responsible for it.

Bring these on day one

  • Open deals and contracts
  • Invoices with dates and amounts
  • Your rate card or recent rates
  • Your content plan for the next month
  • Your team list and what each person does

Your time

About 5 to 8 hours of your own time across the four weeks, mostly in week 1. Your manager or editor needs a few more.

After go-live

Nobody is hired to run Verity. Deals, deliverables and payments are recorded as part of the work you already do, and the reports come from those records.

Verity AI

Ask your business a question.

Verity AI reads your deals, content, payments, rights and team tasks. Ask in plain language, then turn the answer into tasks for the right person.

  • Your records only Answers come from your own creator businesses data, not from generic knowledge.
  • Right person, right view It only shows what the person asking is allowed to see.
  • Turns into action An answer can become a task assigned to a named person.

Rules and paperwork

The rules a creator business has to keep up with.

Verity does not give legal or tax advice and does not file anything for you. It keeps the records these rules depend on in order, so your accountant and lawyer start from clean data.

  • Disclosure of paid posts

    What is expected

ASCI reviewed 100 brand posts by top Indian creators in 2024 and found non-disclosure in 69 percent, either with no label or with the label buried in hashtags. Disclosure guidelines apply to creators and brands, and consumer protection rules also address misleading endorsements.

    How Verity helps

Each paid post has a disclosure check and a record of the label used.

    Campaign India on ASCI findings

  • Contracts, usage rights and exclusivity

    What is expected

Brand deals can cover usage rights, exclusivity, approval steps and payment terms. Creators have described a lack of standard contracts, so the terms depend on what each deal says.

    How Verity helps

Each deal records its terms with the signed document, and rights and exclusivity are checked against other deals.

    The Nod

  • Tax on creator income

    What is expected

Income from brand deals, platform payouts and barter can have tax and GST consequences, and brands may deduct tax at source. The rules depend on your registration and type of income.

    How Verity helps

Each deal records the invoice, amount, tax deducted and certificate status, so your accountant starts from clean records.

  • Audience and customer data

    What is expected

Subscriber, buyer and enquiry details are personal data. India's data protection rules were notified in November 2025, and most duties start to apply over the following 12 to 18 months.

    How Verity helps

Contact and customer data sits in one permissioned place, with who viewed or changed it recorded.

    AZB Partners

Rules and platform policies change and differ by type of income. Confirm current requirements with your accountant, your lawyer and the platform's own policies.

Who sees what

Everyone sees the same records, through their own window.

An editor should not see your rates. A brand contact should not see your other deals. Each role opens on what it needs.

  • Creator

What needs my decision and what do I owe?

Deals needing a reply, content due, clashes, payments owed to you and months of cost covered.

  • Manager

What is moving and what is stuck?

Pipeline, quotes, contracts, invoices to chase, usage windows ending and team tasks.

  • Editor

What do I work on next?

My deliverables, versions, approval notes, deadlines and brand briefs.

  • Designer or freelancer

What have I been asked for?

Briefs, due dates, files to deliver and payment status for my work.

  • Accountant

What came in and what was deducted?

Invoices, amounts received, tax deducted and certificates, barter values and expenses.

Questions

Questions creators ask.

I work alone. Is this too much?

A solo creator has the same deals, deadlines and dues, with nobody to remember them. We set up only what you need, such as deals, deliverables and payments, and add more as you grow.

Will my editor and manager use it?

It only works if it takes seconds, so we set it up around what they already do. They get a clear list of what is due and what the brand said.

Can it post my content or schedule it?

No. Posting stays on the platforms. Verity holds the calendar, the briefs, the approvals and the checks around it.

Can it send invoices?

No. Your accounts or invoicing tool does that. Verity records each invoice and tracks what is due, chased and received.

Can it help with brand reports?

Yes. You enter the figures after posting and Verity assembles them beside what was promised. It does not pull figures from the platforms.

Does it handle barter?

Yes. Barter is recorded with the product value and your hours so you can compare it with cash deals.

Does it tell me my tax?

No. It records invoices, tax deducted and certificates so your accountant can work from clean data.

Who can see what?

Only the people you allow. Access is set by role and every change is recorded with who made it and when.

What does it cost?

It depends on the number of users and what you want set up. Message us and we will give you a clear number after a short conversation about how your business runs.
