Verity for vocational training centres

You teach trades with real tools. Verity tracks the batches, the workshop and the jobs that follow.

A vocational centre runs on batches, trainers, workshop equipment and the promise of a job at the end. Fees, attendance, tool stock and placement are usually tracked in different registers. Verity brings them together so you can see which batches are healthy and which trainees are slipping.

Verity in one line

One system that follows a trainee from enquiry to batch, to workshop, to certificate, to job, and shows where the centre is losing people and money.

Free: we set up a working demo of your own business, on your own data, within 7 days. You pay only if your team decides to use it.

Built for a centre with a small office team. Records come from the registers and attendance sheets you already keep.

Illustrative screen with sample figures. Yours is set up with your own trades, batches, trainers and workshops.

How it runs today

Most centres run well in the workshop and blind in the office.

The training itself is visible: a batch of electricians wiring a board, a group learning to weld. What is not visible is the rest: which batches are below strength, who has stopped attending, which fees are overdue, how many rods and cables the practicals used, and which trainees found work.

The information sits in registers, an attendance machine, an accounts file and the trainers' own notes. The centre head and the counsellor are the only people who connect them.

Funded batches add paperwork and checks. Funds and approvals can depend on attendance and outcomes, and regulators have acted against centres whose records did not hold up.

What most vocational training centres run on

  • Enquiry and admission register
  • Attendance sheets or biometric machine
  • Fee register or accounts software
  • Excel workshop stock sheet
  • WhatsApp groups with trainees and trainers

Each record answers one question. None tells you which batch is at risk or which trainee is about to drop out.

14 problems, one by one

Where a vocational centre loses trainees, money and time.

These are the situations centre owners describe. For each one: what it looks like, what it costs, and what Verity does about it.

  1. 01Admissions

Walk-in enquiries are not followed up

    What it looks like

A young man enquires about the electrician course, hears the fee and says he will think. His number goes in a notebook. Nobody calls after two days.

    What it costs you

Example arithmetic: if 100 enquiries a month become 18 admissions at ₹14,000, that is ₹2.5 lakh. Lifting conversion by five admissions is ₹70,000 a month from people who already walked in.

    How Verity fixes it

Every enquiry is a record with the trade asked about, the fee quoted, the follow-up date and an owner. Verity lists enquiries with no contact in three days and assigns the follow-up.

    See the screen
  2. 02Batches

Batches start below strength or do not fill

    What it looks like

The welding batch needs 20 to be viable. It has 12 on the start date. The trainer is booked and the workshop is reserved.

    What it costs you

A trainer paid for half-empty sessions, or a start date pushed back and trainees lost.

    How Verity fixes it

Each batch shows its target, confirmed admissions, fees paid and start date. Verity warns early when a batch is under strength so you can push enquiries, merge or move the date.

    See the screen
  3. 03Fees

Fee instalments go overdue and recovery is awkward

    What it looks like

Trainees pay in instalments. A few stop paying in month two. The accountant notes it, but nobody follows up until the course ends.

    What it costs you

Unrecovered fees, or certificates withheld in an argument after the course.

    How Verity fixes it

Each trainee has an instalment plan and balance. Overdue ones go on a list with the amount and age, and the follow-up is a task with an owner.

    See the screen
  4. 04Funding

Funded batches need records that match what was claimed

    What it looks like

A scheme-funded batch depends on enrolment details, attendance and assessment records. Different people hold the pieces, and a gap is found at the time of the claim.

    What it costs you

A delayed or reduced payment, and in the worst case action against the centre. In November 2025 the Skill Ministry blacklisted 178 training partners and centres under PMKVY after finding absentee students, fake documents and non-existent centres.

    How Verity fixes it

Each funded batch carries its enrolment, attendance and assessment records in one place. Verity flags a batch with missing items before a claim or inspection.

    See the screen
  5. 05Attendance

Attendance is recorded, but nobody acts on it

    What it looks like

A biometric machine or sheet records who came. Nobody looks until the end of the month. A trainee absent for nine days is found when they ask for their certificate.

    What it costs you

Dropouts that could have been prevented with a call in week one, and funded batches that fail attendance checks. For PMKVY partners, NSDC has required biometric attendance with full daily compliance.

    How Verity fixes it

Daily attendance is shown by batch and by trainee. Verity lists trainees absent three days in a row and creates a call task for the trainer or counsellor.

    See the screen
  6. 06Attendance

Dropouts leave without anyone knowing why

    What it looks like

A trainee stops coming. Some had a job offer, some a family issue, some did not like the batch timing. No reason is written down.

    What it costs you

You cannot fix what you cannot see. If the same timing or trainer drives people away, the pattern stays hidden.

    How Verity fixes it

When a trainee leaves, the reason is recorded. Verity shows dropouts by batch, trainer and trade so patterns are visible.

    See the screen
  7. 07Trainers

Trainers are booked, but their time is not tracked

    What it looks like

A visiting trainer is paid per hour. The sessions he took are in his notebook. The office pays from his claim.

    What it costs you

Overpayment, disputes and no view of which trainers are underused.

    How Verity fixes it

Sessions are recorded against each batch and trainer. Payouts are calculated from the hours recorded, and trainer load is visible by week.

    See the screen
  8. 08Workshop

Workshop machines sit idle, break or are unsafe

    What it looks like

A lathe is down for two weeks because the repair was never raised. A safety check is overdue. Nobody tracks which machines are used and which are idle.

    What it costs you

Trainees who cannot practise, a batch delayed and a safety risk.

    How Verity fixes it

Each machine is a record with its service history, next service date and issues raised. Verity lists machines overdue for checks and those out of use.

    See the screen
  9. 09Workshop

Practical consumables are used by guesswork

    What it looks like

Welding rods, wires, fabric, paint and cosmetics run out in the middle of a batch. Orders are placed when someone notices.

    What it costs you

Practical sessions cancelled, rushed purchases at higher prices and waste that nobody measures.

    How Verity fixes it

Each consumable has a reorder point and usage recorded against the batch. Verity compares use per trainee across batches and drafts the order before the shelf is empty.

    See the screen
  10. 10Batches

    Workshop slots clash between batches

    What it looks like

Two batches are booked into the same bay on the same afternoon. One is moved at the last minute.

    What it costs you

Idle trainers, annoyed trainees and an uneven use of the workshop.

    How Verity fixes it

Workshop and bay slots are part of the schedule. Verity shows clashes before they happen and utilisation by bay.

    See the screen
  11. 11Assessment

Assessments and certificates are chased by phone

    What it looks like

The assessment date depends on an outside body. Results arrive in a PDF. Certificates are ready, but trainees are not told.

    What it costs you

Trainees who feel forgotten, delayed placements and an office that answers the same call twenty times a day.

    How Verity fixes it

Each trainee shows assessment date, result and certificate status. Verity lists ready certificates not yet collected and tasks the front desk to inform them.

    See the screen
  12. 12Placement

Placements are claimed but not tracked

    What it looks like

Employers call the centre for candidates. Some trainees join, some do not, and nobody follows up after the first month.

    What it costs you

A weaker pitch to the next batch and, for funded batches, outcome records that cannot be shown. A 2025 third-party evaluation found that 41.4 percent of short-term trainees reported higher income after training, but only centres that track outcomes can show their own number.

    How Verity fixes it

Employers, openings and trainee outcomes are records. Verity tracks who was offered, who joined, and who was still working after thirty and ninety days.

    See the screen
  13. 13Compliance

    Affiliation, inspections and approvals expire

    What it looks like

Affiliation, safety certificates and the trainers' qualifications each have a date. They sit in a folder.

    What it costs you

A suspended batch, a failed inspection or a rejected claim for a missing certificate.

    How Verity fixes it

Each approval and certificate is a record with expiry and an owner. Verity reminds ahead of time and keeps copies ready for an inspector.

    See the screen
  14. 14Owner

The head of the centre is the system

    What it looks like

One person remembers which batch is weak, which fee is overdue, which machine is down and which employer to call.

    What it costs you

The centre cannot add a second location or take a week off without things slipping.

    How Verity fixes it

Each morning Verity shows what needs a decision, each item with an owner. A second centre becomes a location in the same system with the same measures.

    See the screen

    NSDC notice, 2021

  • 41.4%

of short-term training candidates reported higher income after training and certification, in a 2025 third-party evaluation of PMKVY.

The first figure is from news coverage of a government action. The attendance figures are from NSDC notices for one scheme and could not be checked against the original notices. The outcome figure comes from a 2025 third-party evaluation reported in the press and describes one scheme, not all vocational training.

How we work with you

We set it up with you, in four weeks.

You do not get a login and a manual. We learn how your centre actually runs, build Verity around it, bring your data in, then stay on to keep it working.

  1. Week 1

    Discovery and mapping

    What we do
Spend a day at your centre. Follow a trainee from enquiry to certificate and job, walk the workshop, and map the registers, attendance machine and accounts you use today.
    What we need from you
A few hours from you and your counsellor or office lead. Last two batches of records and your fee structure.
What you have at the end
A written map of how your batches, fees, workshop and placements run today and the problems to fix first.
  2. Weeks 2 to 3

    Configuration

    What we do
Set up trades and batches, trainers and rates, workshop bays and machines, consumables with reorder points, fee plans, funded batch checklists and approvals.
    What we need from you
Check the batch templates, fee plans and consumable list with your trainers.
What you have at the end
A working Verity with your real trades, batches and rules.
  3. Weeks 3 to 4

    Migration and training

    What we do
Bring in trainees, fee balances, machine and stock lists, trainer records and employer contacts. Train the office, trainers and workshop in-charge on real days.
    What we need from you
Your trainee list and fee balances, in whatever form they exist. One hour per role.
What you have at the end
Your centre inside Verity and a team that has used it on a live batch.
  4. After go-live

    Operations partnership

    What we do
Stay on after launch. Review the first weeks with you, tune lists and reminders and handle new trades, batches and locations.
    What we need from you
A short monthly review of what the numbers say.
What you have at the end
A system that keeps matching how the centre runs, with someone responsible for it.

Bring these on day one

  • Your trades, fees and instalment plans
  • Current trainee list with balances
  • Trainer list with hourly rates
  • Machine and consumables lists
  • Your approvals and affiliation papers with dates

Your time

About 8 to 11 hours of owner time across the four weeks, mostly in week 1. Your office lead and workshop in-charge need a few more.

After go-live

Nobody is hired to run Verity. Attendance, fees and workshop use are recorded as part of the work you already do, and the reports come from those records.

Verity AI

Ask your centre a question.

Verity AI reads your batches, attendance, fees, workshop and placement records. Ask in plain language, then turn the answer into tasks for the right person.

  • Your records only Answers come from your own vocational training centres data, not from generic knowledge.
  • Right person, right view It only shows what the person asking is allowed to see.
  • Turns into action An answer can become a task assigned to a named person.

Rules and paperwork

The rules a vocational centre has to keep up with.

Verity does not give legal advice and does not file anything for you. It keeps the records these rules depend on in order, so you are not hunting for them when an inspector or sponsor asks.

  • Biometric attendance for funded batches

    What is expected

For PMKVY training partners, NSDC notices have required attendance through the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System, with full daily compliance, and tied payments to attendance checks early in a batch. Other schemes have their own rules.

    How Verity helps

Attendance is shown by batch and trainee, with absences flagged and the record kept for each batch.

    NSDC notice, 2022

  • Records that must stand up to inspection

    What is expected

In 2025 the ministry blacklisted 178 partners and centres after finding absentee students, fake documents and centres that existed only on paper. Centres can expect checks on whether trainees, trainers and premises are real and documented.

    How Verity helps

Each funded batch keeps its enrolment, attendance and assessment records together with who recorded what and when.

    Vision IAS summarising Indian Express

  • Trainee data and consent

    What is expected

Names, phone numbers, identity details and photographs of trainees are personal data. India's data protection rules were notified in November 2025, and most duties start to apply over the following 12 to 18 months.

    How Verity helps

Trainee data sits in one permissioned place, with who viewed or changed it recorded.

    AZB Partners

  • Affiliation, safety and trainer qualifications

    What is expected

Centres usually hold an affiliation or approval, safety certificates for the workshop and trainers with the right qualifications, each with its own date. Details depend on the trade and the body.

    How Verity helps

Each is a record with an expiry and an owner, linked to the batches that depend on it.

Rules differ by scheme, state and awarding body, and they change. Confirm current requirements with your affiliating body or the scheme documents.

Who sees what

Everyone sees the same records, through their own window.

Trainers should not see the accounts. The office should not edit trainer pay. Each role opens on what it needs.

  • Centre head

Which batches and fees need my decision?

Batches under strength, fees overdue, trainees at risk, approvals due and placements by trade.

  • Counsellor

    Who should I call today?

Enquiries to follow up, admissions this week, trainees with pending instalments and reasons for dropouts.

  • Trainer

    How is my batch doing?

Attendance and absent trainees, sessions to record, practical consumables and assessment dates.

  • Workshop in-charge

    What do I need ready?

Machine service dates, bay schedule, consumables low and safety checks.

  • Accountant

What came in and what is owed?

Fee collections and balances, trainer payouts, funded batch claims and purchase orders.

Questions

Questions centre owners ask.

Will my trainers and office staff actually use it?

It only works if recording takes seconds, so we set it up around the registers they already keep. We train during real batches and give each role something back: a call list, a batch view or a stock reminder.

Does Verity run the attendance machine or the scheme portal?

No. Your biometric device and the government portals stay as they are. We agree during setup how attendance details reach Verity so it can flag absentees and keep batch records together.

Can it handle funded and self-paying batches together?

Yes. Each batch has its own fee plan or funding checklist, and you see both on one screen.

Can it send messages to my trainees?

Not by itself. Verity lists who to call or message and assigns the task, and your team sends it and records the outcome.

I have two centres. Can I compare them?

Yes. Each centre is a location in one system, and batches, fees, attendance and placements can be compared side by side.

Does it replace my accounts software?

No. It keeps fee balances and instalments by trainee and gives your accountant cleaner records. The books stay where they are.

Who can see trainee information?

Only the people you allow. Access is set by role, and every change is recorded with who made it and when.

How long before I see results?

Enquiry follow-up, fees overdue and absent trainee lists need only your existing records, so they are the first things we aim to have working. Placement and dropout trends become reliable after a batch or two.

What does it cost?

It depends on the number of centres and what you want set up. Message us and we will give you a clear number after a short conversation about how your centre runs.
